Welcome to

Richmond Academics and Athletics in Spain

Sevilla, the capital city of Andalusia, is one of the most visited and culturally vibrant cities. Known for its rich history as a major Moorish kingdom and as a center of trade with the New Worls, the city is alive with traditions such as flamenco, bullfighting, tapas, and olive orchards. With over one million residents, Sevilla offers all the resources of a major city while remaining manageable and inviting, making it the perfect setting for immersive study abroad experiences.

Program Overview

Academics at EUSA

Courses for Richmond students are held at EUSA (Estudios Universitarios y Superiores de Andalucia), a private institution affilitate with the Universidad de Sevilla since 1996. Located in the vibrant Nervión neighborhood, EUSA is just a short walk from historical landmarks, parks, shopping arears, and Sevilla’s major soccer stadium.

The campus offers modern academic resources, including an in-house library, printing facilities, and a cafeteria. Students also have access to sports facilities and daily opportunity to interact with native Spanish students, making EUSA a supportive environments for both academic growth and culteral immersion.

Training Facilities at SADUS Gym

Maintaining phsyical fitness and training routines is just as important as academic growth. In Sevilla, students can continue their athletic development at SADUS Gym, a state-of-the-art facility affiliated with the Universidad of Sevilla.

SADUS offers two campuses – Los Bermejales and Pirotecnia – with the latter conveniently located near EUSA. Student-athletes have access to both locations and benefit from a wide rance of facilities, including swimming pools, outdoor training fields, tennis courts, professional fields for field hockey, indoor cycling studios, dedicated spaces for circuit and bodyweight training, and comprehensive weighlifting equipment. No matter the sport, Richmond student-atheletes have the resources they need to stay in peak condition while balancing coursework and study abroad experiences.
