Richmond Global Internships Program

Program Overview

Success in today’s global economy requires a nuanced understanding of workplace practices and cultures beyond the United States. COWA’s affordable 8-week Global Internship Program gives students the opportunity to gain firsthand experience in Spanish and European professional environments while developing key skills for an international career.

Participants are placed in small and medium-sized Spanish enterprises across a range of sectors—such as start-ups, technology, travel and tourism, and consulting. The program is designed to be accessible to students with varying levels of Spanish proficiency: placements are available both for those seeking a full language-immersion experience and for those who prefer to intern in English.

Throughout the program, students deepen their understanding of business practices in Spain, strengthen cross-cultural communication skills, and build professional competencies that will serve them long after the program ends.

This is an official University of Richmond program, so you may qualify for a UR Fellowship (***2.0 GPA requirement). Please check with the appropriate office on campus or talk to your advisor.
