University of Richmond in Sevilla
COWA and the University of Richmond share a close relationship, rooted in the fact that COWA’s founder, Carlos Valencia, is a former UR professor. This connection allows COWA to design programs that align closely with Richmond students’ academic goals and campus culture.
Students study in Sevilla, the historic capital of Andalusia, where centuries of tradition blend seamlessly with modern life. Richmond student-athletes are able to maintain their training routines at SADUS Gym, a state-of-the-art athletic facility affiliated with the University of Seville, while health-focused students benefit from COWA’s strong partnerships with local medical centers and internship opportunities.
With its walkable streets, welcoming community, and vibrant cultural life, Sevilla provides an ideal setting for immersive study abroad. Students take learning beyond the classroom, build global perspectives, and return home with experiences that shape both their academic and personal growth.
